hmm have finally decided on carnegiemellon. michigan's like neither here nor there, and brown is well, very liberal art-sy. which is a very good thing but maybe not my thing.
but.
what i'm worried about is the high standards at cmu. cos everyone tells me how hard the courses are, how many people switch to other majors like business. quite scary leh i very stupid one. at least i'll be in their science college, doing math. cos i can take math and computing courses at the same time which means if im pathetic at computing, i'm still under math. decided not to enrol in their computerscience college after hearing horror stories about how tough it is, cos if i do badly, then i wouldnt be able to easily switch to other colleges then i die struggling in com science. NOT a good idea.
one funny bit of info. this professor at cmu (who's in charge of undergrad math) has a fantastic singaporean student. so there he was, praising that guy, saying how zai his math was and all. then he went to check the info of that person and got a shock/surprise. i couldn't tell which it was. he found out that this crazynutso was actually 'majoring' in economics and computer science, and merely 'minoring' in mathematics with computational finance. he's brilliant in something thats only his 'minor'. can you imagine. shows how psycho singapore students can be. by the way, math with computational finance apparently has exclusive -hard- courses and each year only about 20 people take it.
as with someone else who keeps getting mentioned during dsta interviews, he spoils the market, damnit.
now that i've decided on the school, i still dunno what to do. cos no one has given me a scholarship! bah.
ntu accepted me though ^^ yay haha so silly. but i like ntu.
shit. one of my classes has 16 people failing their lecture test. the other classes aren't so bad. this class has 9 people with single digit scores, while another class doesn't have single digit scores at all. sigh i shall go scold them maybe.
this girl got 2/25 lah. giving her that TWO marks was actually damn generous lorh. i have never seen such artistically drawn graphs and i'm not being sarcastic man.

i think they were dying. felt so sad for them cos they were stuck in that basin eating soggy pieces of cabbage. and part of their claws were actually cut off! to prevent them from kiap-ing little kids i think.
never mind. i shall just think about how yummy baby octopus is. haha we were trying to gross each other out with the baby octopus. crunch. thats the brain. and the eyeballs. no lah its the sesame seeds. haha so spastic.
ajisen has a good deal! you can add a side-dish plus green tea to their ramen with just 10cents. get baby octopus! or you can get a nicer side-dish with $1.
but horh. ask for the hot green tea. cos the cold green tea was just gross even for people who like green tea. damn bitter and diluted. i dunno how thats possible yuck.
